Antavo Chosen for KFC UKI Loyalty Re-Platform

March 1, 2022

Enterprise-grade, pure-play loyalty technology provider Antavo was chosen by KFC to help them re-platform the loyalty program in the UK & Ireland.

API-centric, no-code loyalty platform provider Antavo announces the addition of another client from the food & beverage industry to their portfolio. Antavo has been chosen as the technology to underpin the re-platforming of popular restaurant chain KFC’s loyalty proposition in the UK and Ireland.

“With our loyalty program, our goal has always been to make each visit valuable and seamless for our fans. This requires a stable and reliable technology capable of serving our customer base and handling heavy traffic without putting extra pressure on team members. Antavo is a trusted loyalty vendor and we’re excited to work with them to help us to do that in an efficient and effective way.” – Elliot Gennard – Retail Solutions Lead at KFC UKI.

Antavo’s Loyalty Management Platform was chosen for its talented people and robust API-based technology, which offers a wide range of loyalty capabilities, including gamification modules, tiers, and a no-code editing interface for offers and campaigns.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to work with KFC. The food & beverage industry is one of the best fits when it comes to introducing innovative new technologies and solutions for loyalty programs, because of the high order frequency. Working together, we’ll focus on creating a superior customer experience for KFC’s dedicated audience. Because at the end, building a loyal and like-minded community is what next-gen loyalty programs should be about.” – Sheila Power, VP of EMEA & North America at Antavo.

KFC’s initiative to re-platform its loyalty program is part of a global trend. According to Antavo’s Global Customer Loyalty Report 2022, 71.6% of respondents at companies with an existing loyalty program plan to revamp their existing loyalty program within the next three years — likely because these companies see the potential in new technologies and wish to be among the trendsetters in their respective industries.

About KFC

In 1952 Colonel Harland Sanders opened the first KFC restaurant in Utah and today we have over 1,000 restaurants across the UK and Ireland. The Colonel was all about doing things the right way. That means our chicken is delivered fresh from farm to restaurant in 48 hours. It’s prepared carefully by hand in-restaurant by trained cooks, using the very best chicken reared to strict welfare standards. In July 2019 we took the next big step in our welfare journey and signed up to the Better Chicken Commitment, a set of six criteria that have been designed to improve the lives of all chickens within the KFC supply chain, by 2026. That’s what makes our food so finger lickin’ good. The right way also means serving fresh proper food, packed with flavour. So, we’ve worked hard to make nutritional improvements across our menu, so our fans have as much choice as possible, and we’ve committed to removing 20% of calories per serving by 2025. The Colonel also believed in feeding promise, wherever it’s found. So that’s why we invest heavily in the development and careers of our 27,000 employees – we were the first restaurant to launch an honours degree. The KFC Foundation has paid out grants totaling £5 million to our charity partners who are passionate about developing and nurturing young people across the country.
